Doling Aquatic Center
Hood-Rich was commissioned by the Springfield-Greene County Park Board to design a new addition to the Doling Family Center, The Doling Aquatics Center.
The facility is LEED “Silver” certified and designed for future competitive swimming which includes; spectator seating, diving facilities, a 50 meter pool, and additional parking. The design features 13,788 square feet of space and 4,240 square feet of water surface area. It includes three bodies of water; a spa, recreation pool, and lap lane area. The recreational pool includes space for 22 aerobic stations, a pool slide, waterspouts, and a built-in bench. The lap pool is a 25-meter, 3-lane pool with starter blocks and lane lines. The total cost of the project was $3.4 million and was completed in 2013.
